Coast Guard Saturday is the single busiest day in Grand Haven, and crazy crowds are just not our scene. Opting out of the two hour parade and impossible-to-bike downtown sidewalks, we headed north (to New Era, about a 45 minute drive from GH) for the day, meeting up with Grandma Dee to have some fun at Lewis Farm Market, followed by lunch at the Country Dairy.
Hello Lewis Farm Market! |
The goats were pretty excited for our arrival (and the cups full of food we were holding) |
Hannah made quick friends with the goats and donkeys |
The baby bunnies weren't as eager, but that didn't stop her from trying |
We made some new deer friends too |
Always ready to make friends with kitties |
Megan and the deer |
Hanging out with Jeffrey the Camel |
Jeffrey says thanks for the snack |
Playing around |
The jumping pillow is a huge attraction |
...and because the rest of the world was in Grand Haven, we had this place virtually to ourselves. |
Pedal cars! |
Out for a ride |
Racing away |
Tractor train |
Off they go! |
Jeffrey got another round of snacks out of these two |
...and Grandma |
The prairie dogs are a new addition this year. The girls are still talking about the cute way they eat. |
One last round of grub for the deer |
This one enjoyed her own private sandbox |
Thanks for a great time Lewis Farm Market! Off to the Country Dairy... |
Observing the friendly cows |
Photo opp with Grandma |
...and one inappropriate udder shot that I promised them. |
