At this time last year, we were just moving into the Grand Haven house, and decided we had enough on our plate without partaking in Coast Guard Festivities. This year, there was no way we were going to miss the carnival!
The trolley stop is just two blocks from our house, and we have yet to ride it. We attempted this as a means of getting downtown, but it ended up being a fail. Everyone and their brother in town for Coast Guard Festival = slow trollies. |
After the trolley delay, we ended up driving downtown. Not the plan, but we got there. And now we're ready to party. |

Enjoying the carousel. (Note the red marks on her forehead. Girlfriend explored the Funhouse's Hall of Mirrors headfirst...) |

Their efforts won them these high quality (not) stuffed animals - Mom's favorite! (another "not") |
We took a break at the candy store, where I refused to buy them these gigantic Dum-Dums, but did agree to take their picture with them. |

They discovered the Tilt-a-Whirl towards the end of the carnival. They REALLY liked it. Can you tell? |
