Grand Haven - Bikes, Books, Berries and Fairies

We are getting into the full swing of leisurely weekends in Grand Haven, and we kind of love it.  Though we rarely have the feeling of getting anything accomplished, we seem to keep plenty busy on various adventures with the kids.

We surprised Megan with an early birthday present - a new [gigantic] bike for GH.  Her other one was a bit small for her ever-lengthening legs.
Ready to ride!
Action shot
Enjoying a lazy Saturday morning with a cuddly beagle
Doing a little fairy gardening
Megan's finished product.  Her sign reads: "Fairies welcome!  Please come!!"
Hannah's garden.  Her sign reads "Happy birthday fairies!  Love, Hannah" (I thought hers looked like more of a tea party setting, but she insists it's a birthday party)
Two finished fairy gardens
After gardening, we packed a picnic lunch and headed to the Farmer's Market
Fresh strawberries were on the menu
We've discovered several of these LittleFreeLibrary kiosks on our travels throughout GH.  It's a "take a book, leave a book" concept with no hard deadlines.  We've enjoyed exchanging our books for new ones over the last few weeks.
...and sometimes we just pick up a few books to read at the playground, dropping them off on the way back home.  Have I mentioned that we love Grand Haven?
