HANNAH MARIE IS FIVE! Her big day has officially arrived! In keeping with tradition (started with her big sister), the first order of business was breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table (inside the castle!!!) at Magic Kingdom.
A perk of early morning breakfast reservations are people-free photo ops in front of the castle |
We were greeted by Cinderella immediately upon arrival |
Autograph time |
Hugs for the birthday girl |
Let breakfast begin! |
Snow White stopped by to say hello |
Pretty happy about getting autographs (and all the fresh strawberries, as evidenced by the demolished pile of stems on her plate) |
Sleeping Beauty |
Ariel |
Jasmine too! |
This is shaping up to be a pretty great breakfast! |
This was our first stop after breakfast. If you are pursuing yours Masters Degree in Disney World like I am, you will know that this is the home to none other than ANNA AND ELSA, undoubtedly the current VIPs of all Disney Royalty. Despite our early arrival, there was already a big fat line. Mom waited while Dad took the girls around to ride tea cups and other such nonsense. |
After a mere 90 minutes (more like 20 for the girls), our time arrived. First stop: ANNA! |
Anna was awesome. We were big fans. Next up... |
ELSA! |
Does anyone else think she was excited? |
Would you look at the concentration? |
We came, we saw, we conquered. (alternate caption: Most Expensive Autographs Ever) |
They got Pixie Dust'd in the gift shop |
The rest of our morning/afternoon was dedicated to rides. We had FastPasses to use in the evening, but this part of our day was unscheduled, and we set out to fit in as many attractions as we could while avoiding crazy lines and crowds.
A fifth birthday means it's time for the first rollercoaster (also Big Sister's first, three years ago) - Goofy's Barnstormer! |
Dad & Megan - ready to ride |
The birthday girl LOVED IT! She rode with her arms in the air the duration of the ride, and accused her father of "screaming like a girl" the whole time. |
We also took a spin on the Tomorrowland Speedway. |
Couple of crazy drivers |
After a well deserved afternoon break, we hit the park again for an evening of rides |
We got our first spin on the Seven Dwarves Mine Ride - AWESOME! (we are the last four on the right) |
Another mine ride shot. I love Hannah's happy face. (This time we have moved left/center) |
Happy little mine rider |
It's no surprise to us that this girl is a thrill-seeker. Goofy's Barnstormer really just wet her taste buds. |
Inside the mine. This ride is "supes cool", as Megan would say. |
We may love a good coaster, but there will always be a spot in our heart for Dumbo |
We checked out Ariel's ride in Fantasyworld too. Also very cool! |
Back to the tea cups, where things got a little crazy at this point in the evening... |
Post tea-cup recovery while in line for the Astro-Orbiter |
The little one was still going strong, even after a crazy spin on the tea cups. |
Megan rallied nicely. Astro-Orbit time! |
We also did the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh before calling it a night |
Love me some castle at night |
Do we look like we've been Disney'd? |
Hannah didn't quite make it out of the park. I suppose it wouldn't be a true Disney birthday if you didn't completely demolish the birthday girl... |
